Thousands Left Without Electricity in Queensland and Victorian Regions Following Powerful Storms
Around twenty-five thousand residences in south-east Queensland found themselves lacking electricity on the start of the week after intense storm systems passed over the area, producing wind gusts reaching 109km/h.
Massive Frozen Precipitation and Broad Impact
Homeowners witnessed substantial frozen pellets measuring up to 7cm in some areas. The Bureau of Meteorology confirmed that different parts across the state had been impacted by large hailstones.

Rescue organizations received 598 calls for help across the area, mainly for structural issues but also for fallen timber and water accumulation.

Meteorological Predictions
Damp conditions were predicted to continue along much of the state's eastern regions this week as a low-pressure trough continued to pull in damp air against the coastal areas.
Tomorrow was expected to become the most rainy day, with continued storm activity anticipated across different parts of both states.

Health officials cautioned that there was an greater possibility of thunderstorm-induced asthma across the northern rural areas, especially given the current weather patterns.
